| You might be able to get away without removing the paint, but paint is not structural. I decided that bonding the reinforcements directly to the underlying composite structure was desirable. You can scuff through the paint with 120 grit sandpaper. The paint on my Wiz was so thick though, I decided to use paint remover. | |
