ATLAS Pixel Detector Work

THIS AREA IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

TAKE ME HOME!

Here you will soon find information about the Pixel Support Tube (PST), cooling services, and detector installation.  Included will be costs, information about the prototype and mockup, some drawings, and some analysis information.  For more information on the complete pixel insertion scheme, please see the presentations on the homepage of Eric Anderssen.

Detector Cooling Services

Cooling services for the pixel detector deliver liquid C3F8, which then evaporates and returns to the cooling plant.  The tubes and connections (fittings) are small in size, must be rad hard, and very leak tight.  Here is some specific information about fitting designs and testing protocols/results.

Pixel Support Tube (PST)

The Pixel Support Tube (PST) is the composite structure which delivers the pixel detector "package" assembly to the Inner Detector.  Included here you will soon find information on materials, prototyping, mockups, production plans, and costs.  And don't forget presentations....with more to come!
