All information presented below is intended to be consistent
with the above document, however this document will need updating to
include the information below. This will be done as soon as the documents
and information below have been reviewed
Information for comment and revision:
Service Connectivity:
Tables and figures defining connectivity from Module/Local support, through
Service Panels, up to PP1b connectors are defined below.
This is a work in progress, and will eventually be uploaded into official
documentation in EDMS.
Geometry
Definition Figures (powerpoint) Helps to define geometry for figures
below--will update as time allows to include all summary information
(UPDATED: 8-DEC-03)
Module to PP0
Tables Defining positions of modules and PP0 flex connections
are defined. Table nomenclature follows that defined in Services Document
(link above)
Services document will need revision to include some new nomenclature and
updated counts per octant...
The following two documents describe the Connectivity between the modules and
PP0
This document describes the connectivity table layout and source data--the connectivity table is Appendix A to this document. |

This is the native Excel spreadsheet: |
Routing and position information used to calculate cable lengths in the
above tables was taken from the following figures:
PP0_Connector_Locations.pdf--Defines
Z-location of every connector on PP0
atl-ip-ed-0155.pdf--Defines Z-Location of all
stave connectors, used to define center module (M0) connector postion
SECTOR_MODULE_LAYOUT.pdf--Defines additional routing distance on each
sector added to cable length based on module #
PP0 to PP1b:
Tables and figures defining connection of services from PP0 Flex out to PP1b
connectors through PP1 penetration flexes.
These documents define the different PP1 penetration flexes required, and map
PP1b connectors (LEMO) to PP0
Indicial location references for the PP0 flex and PP1b connector locations are
defined.
Service Quarter Panel Connectivity
The files below are tables of connectivity between PP0 and the connectors at
PP1b. They are an expansion of the above tables
and include mapping of all PP0 flexes to every PP1b flex. Also included
is the name of the local support serviced
Document describing layout of Service Quarter panels as well as how to read connectivity tables included in appendix below |

Optical Fiber Connectivity--First Draft
The files below are draft. The table below shows the mapping of all
Service Quarter Panels, and includes some data for ROD Mapping. Every
quadrant has identical fiber
routing, that is each PP0 flex position on the service panels maps directly to
a given position in the Ericsson Connector at PP1. This mapping is
identical for all quadrants. The only difference between quadrants is
mapping of local support to specific PP0 flexes in a given octant. The
table includes the connection and naming of the internal fiber double-pigtails
(PP0 to PP1), as well as the enumeration of Cables external to PP1.
It is intended to include mapping all the way to the ROD, that is this table
will have Module to ROD mapping in one table, down to the unique designation of
fibers within each ribbon. Currently, this ROD mapping table is in work.
