Our First Road Trip, to and from DEATH VALLEY .

We went out to Death Valley by way of Lake Isabella.  This is a road long past there in the Mojave desert between the Sierra and Death Valley.

 It started to get DARK, on our way to Death Valley...  We took a 'short cut' through the Panamint range along an old mining road in our little car.  The sun started to set, and the sky got all purple and blue, we stopped to see the sunset, and within 10 minutes it was over.  Luckily we were only a half hour from our Motel...

 On the Way back from Death Valley we saw something amazing.  We had thought is was a big rainstorm but in fact it was all SAND. It was strangely warm, but very windy (as sandstorms usually are...)

MANY hours later, we found ourselves in Nevada...
