Adjusting the SolidDesigner load/save file type default.

You can adjust order of the file types options displayed in the file menu.

The order of priority is set in the sd_load_save_file_type.dat file.

The sd_load_save_file_type.dat file is located in the:

C:\Program Files\CoCreate\SolidDesigner 8.0.x\personality\sd_customize directory

Use the application “WordPad” to edit this file.

Open the file by navigating to the C:\Program Files\CoCreate\SolidDesigner 8.0.x\personality\sd_customize directory and selecting sd_load_save_file_types.dat.

Edit the file so that the file type you want as the default is at the beginning of the list. For example if you would like the default to be “package” move “package to the beginning of the list.

Move “package” from:

to:

Save the file (overwrite the original).

The next time you start SolidDesigner your changes will take effect.

Note: You can adjust the priority in Annotation by following the same editing procedure. Unfortunately SolidDesigner’s priorities are honored before Annotation so if “package” is first it will always appear as the default in both SD and Anno. I recommend moving “drawing” ahead of “bundle” (as displayed above) so that even though “package” is the default, “drawing” is the next selection in the list.
