Procedure for importing text or geometry from one drawing into another drawing.
This
is especially useful for importing notes, tables, etc. that you have already
created.
1)
Load the drawing you want to work on into Annotation.
2)
Click on “Load” to bring up the file browser and locate
the drawing that contains the text or geometry you want to import.
3)
Click and Drag the file over to the annotation
viewport. This 2nd drawing is automatically added to your existing
drawing as a sketch. The symbol for a sketch is 4 skewed lines.
4)
Click on “Edit” and select “Move Elements”
5)
Select “New Owner”, View is selected by default. If you
want to attach the text/geo to an existing view click on the view. You can also
choose Sheet, Frame, or Sketch.
6) Next click on “Elements” then select
the elements that you want to move from your old drawing to you new
drawing. Place the elements at the desired location in your new
drawing.
7)
Finally delete the old sketch.
