Fire up ME10
Load the drawing you want to paste into Word.
From the “PLOT” menu, select:
POSITION: Center
SCALE: Fit
OUTPUT: All, Box, or Viewport
CONTENTS: Drawing
ROTATE ANG: as desired
CLPBD SIZE (clipboard size)
Set the width and height of the image that you want to paste into your word document, 60” by 40” works well.
PLOT OPTN: Fineline, B & W, Pen Color, or True Color
Fineline changes all colors to thin black lines.
B & W
maintains the line weights but changes all lines to black.
Pen Color will change white lines to black, this is probably the option you want.
True Color will keep white lines white so they will not be seen on the paper.
SEND TO: Clipboard
Finally click on START PLOT!

up Word
Load the document that you want to have your ME10 drawing
pasted into.
Scroll to the proper location in the document and paste the drawing into the document using <ctrl v>.
If desired you can use Microsoft Word’s picture editing functionality to perform simple editing commands such as:
Add text
Add lines
Change colors of text or geometry
To edit the drawing, double click on it. This will bring you into “Edit Picture” mode.
When the drawing is pasted into Word all of the geometry and text are “grouped” together. To edit the drawing these items must be ungrouped.
To ungroup the elements click on the drawing once (a box will appear around it) then left click in the middle of the box and select either “Edit Picture” or “Picture Object -> Open”
The picture editing application will start automatically.
Click on the arrow in the lower left hand corner of the window.
Drag a box around the entire drawing and then click on “Draw” (lower left hand corner of window) and select “Ungroup”
All of the elements (lines and text) can now be edited, (deleted, colors changed, etc.).
Also using the functionality of the editor will allow you to add text and geometry with out going back to ME10.
To exit the “Picture Editor” and return to Word, click on close picture.
